Having Difficult Conversations

We all have someone in our life we need to say something to, and it's usually someone who won't take it well or a message we don't know how to approach or deliver. So how do we have these conversations before it's too late? How do we say what we need to say?

Finding Growth from Darkness

I am a human trafficking survivor who escaped and rebuilt my life. I now speak to audiences about my experiences and how to help others who are trapped in trafficking situations. I believe that everyone has the power to fight back and speak up against injustice. Each of us separately might not be able to change the world, but we could each change the whole world for one person.

Creativity and Healing

Some of the greatest healing that comes after trauma is through finding creative outlets to let go of the emotions tied to those terrifying moments. From writing to painting to cooking, I've done all of these things in my journey of healing, and I'm more than eager to help others find their creative outlets also. A one time volunteer art teacher for first and third grades, and an eighth grade special needs class, I've got the skills to bring out the creativity in almost anyone.

Mental Health and Physical Health

When we break a finger or receive a concussion, our immediate reaction is to comfort ourselves from the pain, and then seek healing - hopefully from professionals. Our mental health and physical health are equally important, and we need to begin re-framing our thoughts regarding mental health so that we don't face our internal shame for needing the assistance required in our healing.

  • I had Amanda on my podcast earlier this year. She was a great guest. She makes it very easy to talk about a very difficult subject in human trafficking. She has a story of her own that she can share but she also has actionable advice that others can apply. She's well prepared and comes ready to go every single time.
