My name is Aletha Brown. I am the proud owner of Gloves Off Real Talk. I through my journey in foster care, group homes, childhood sexual abuse while in the system, living with mental health disorders & being a early single mother of a son have developed boxing inspired communication tools for youths to use to help facilitate those hard but needed to be discussed topics like sex, drugs, alcohol, bullying, peer pressure, anger, gender and so much more without fear of judgement, or consequences.
I truly believe if we take the time to build that needed bridge of trust that so many believe to be entitled to instead of earned within our youths and adults we could help save so many families & youths from the epidemic of early pregnancies & suicides. Changing the way homes communicate, education & foster families communicate for generations to come is so important.
I also provide teachings on these methods, & am available to give seminars to discuss these topics & tools. I have also developed athletic team building exercises to help teams become one & United.
I have personally lived all of the topics I discuss & advocate for them all. Together we can save our next generation from continuing a line of communication which is not happening. We can really build a trusted, judgment free environment where families & people feel comfortable to have tough conversations.
