Bio

Adesola Orimalade is an experienced finance leader, social commentator, and writer with an interest in playing his part in building a world that is inclusive and humane.

Engaging motivational and inspiring, Adesola uses his skill as a storyteller to bring his caareer and life journey experience to life.

Adesola’s career in banking & finance has taken him to blue-chip organizations like Citibank, Standard Chartered Bank, ABN AMRO Bank, The Royal Bank of Scotland, John Lewis Partnership, Orsted and Hogg Robinson Group where as Head of Treasury he was responsible for developing a sound operational and corporate treasury strategy.

A firm believer in helping others reach their potentials, Adesola supports a total of 4 charities, volunteering his skill and competence across various roles including as Chair of Board of Trustees for Citizens Advice Redbridge, Motivational Speaker for Working Options for Education, a mentor for Migrant Leaders and a volunteer Business Trainer for Consonant; a charity devoted to supporting migrants in settling into a new life and career in the U.K

Adesola’s third passion is writing and aside from his play published on Amazon as well as co-authoring a book on remote working during the current pandemic, his articles have been featured on publications including The Globalist, Real Leaders and The Finance Director.

Competitor Analysis for Small Businesses

This is a Workshop organized by Consonant in In collaboration with Goldman Sachs Community Team Works

The event was aimed at teaching new and aspiring entrepreneurs the concept of competitor analysis and how they can practically apply it to their own business.

The session was interactive and included
a) the use of video
b) powerpoint presentation and
c) a break out session where participants created a SWOT analysis using two case studies i.e setting up a new
1) a tattoo parlor in Rochdale U.K. (Lancashire in the U.K ) OR
2) a florist also based in Rochdale U.K

The two groups then discussed their conclusions with the rest of the class.

Business, Self-employment and Entrepreneurship
