I spent 7+ years in law enforcement, with 5+ years on a special weapons and tactics team. In that time I learned the value of teamwork, how to handle high stress environments, and keeping myself accountable to mission goals.

Many of my talks use these experiences to further the core competencies by examining both personal successes and failures.

In my transition out of law enforcement, myself and several friends in the special operations community launched Apex Tactical Solutions, a company designed to pass along firearms skills to the civilian world. Our goal is to teach safe handling and use of firearms from the perspective of those who made these tools a part of our career.

Redefining Teamwork

This is a discussion on finding success outside autonomy. For many in the corporate world, autonomy is the day-to-day standard. Independent work with minimal, if any, supervisor intervention is the expectation of employees. But how does this change when major projects are announced, or critical incidents occur? How do a group of independent employees successfully transition to work in a supervised team environment? This one-hour lecture is aimed at answering this question from the perspective of the special operations community. My goal is to provide clients at all levels of the workforce an insight into the critical incident response framework, and how this structure can be applied beneficially across all professions.
