Bio

Mark currently leads a highly successful tech business that he set up from scratch with his brother, 5 years ago. The pair have bootstrapped their way through, on hard work, amazing customer experience and excellent culture.

A family man to the core, expect authenticity, real world examples and Dad jokes!

Previously Mark completed two active tours in the RAF Regiment, as a leader. He then joined the corporate world, earning his stripes delivering transformational change for large UK blue chip companies.

Mark completed a Masters in Cambridge Uni in Sustainability and has an MBA. Having left school with no qualifications, this is no mean feat!

A natural storyteller, Mark can engage you on all thing’s leadership, business, culture, sustainability, tech, metaverse, IoT... the list goes on. Mark is certainly no stranger to speaking, he’s built a successful podcast and is a visiting lecturer at York Uni.

Bootstrapping to £1m

We started MetaB3E in my back bedroom in Feb 2018. Our aim was and is to change facilities management through CX, engineering and tech. With zero investment, we have grown the business to over £1m in revenue. Only 4% of SaaS companies make it this far so we really are grateful to be here.

I’ve been lucky enough to be invited to several events where Mark Parker has been the keynote speaker. I’ve always left inspired, positive and motivated. Mark is very passionate about his topic which rubs off! He’s also genuinely funny. Lastly, he clearly does a lot of research before his talks. There’s always lots of interesting data backed by credible sources. If you go to one of his talks get in the queue to speak to him quick or you could be waiting a bit, he sometimes seems to get mobbed after!

I have always been impressed with Mark’s presenting style – he manages to be very engaging, credible and informative all at once, and always brings laughter even in a dry subject like technology. He’s particularly good at the Q&A section – where other speakers might be thrown by difficult questions, Mark handles challenges or queries in just the right way. He has also spoken in dragon’s den pitch style events and to board level audiences. I attended a masterclass presented by Mark at York University. Before attending I had very little knowledge of the ‘metaverse’ and digital life beyond day-to-day technology, however in just over an hour I learnt so much about blockchains and ideas around digital reality. This is mainly down to how engaging and intriguing Mark’s presentation was. He interacted with his audience regularly making the whole talk feel much more enticing and real. The hour flew by thanks to how well it was put together and presented. It was thoroughly enjoyable!
