Joshua Markovics

Joshua Markovics is a fine art photographer based in New York. He is known for environmental portraiture, landscape and fine-art photography. His photography uses either muted tones or monochrome to tell its stories, as color distracts from the textures, lines, and subjects at times. Water portraits, heirloom images, and traditional portraiture all grace his portfolio, and we especially enjoy the poses he employs — reclining subjects are one of his favorites!

Joshua loves spending time in nature where he can breathe deeply and observe. He loves taking capturing moments that are both ordinary and extraordinary, and finds joy in witnessing and documenting intimacy and unrepeatable moments in time. His works are in the collections of corporate institutions, private collectors and museums.

Joshua Markovics received his BFA degree from the New York University. His art and photography has been exhibited in many academic and commercial art galleries.
