I am an enthusiastic and dedicated leader, a Human Resources Professional, currently completing CHRP designation with over nine years of experience in the non-profit sector and more than 20 years in customer service. At my previous jobs, I was valued as a critical support pillar for the team – designing, implementing and evaluating education projects, maintaining utmost discretion when dealing with sensitive topics, participating in the hiring process, organizing meetings and public events, and keeping papers and travel arrangements organized at all times. Through my HR Management education at Centennial College, I have gained essential skills and knowledge that are vital for developing the HR functions efficiently and effectively, such as establishing consistent hiring and exit practices, handling payrolls, developing strategies to positively influence workplace relations, conducting human resources research, and managing human resources information systems.
I specialize in the sub-sectors of developmental services, social services, women and youth leadership and development. As a community advocate, I am passionate about Muslim Women's and girls' integration, self-empowerment, wellbeing, civic engagement, activism, and social development. My wish to contribute to the community is an attempt to make a significant impact in my community.
