Larissa Malcolm

Did you know one in five people who were diagnosed with Covid-19 report symptoms of mental illness; including depression, anxiety, panic, and suicidal feelings, within ninety days of diagnosis?

In May 2020, Larissa Malcolm was infected with Covid-19 while working as a therapist in a long-term care facility. The day after receiving her positive test results, the resident she contracted the virus from passed away. Larissa spent the next two weeks in isolation, crying on the couch, convinced her death was imminent.

The panic attacks she experienced were intense. Since that time, she has launched a private practice providing therapy in the State of Ohio and is dedicated to advocating for Covid-19 survivors mental health. She moderates a support group on Facebook and donated convalescent plasma.

Larissa holds a Master of Social Science Administration and a Master of Positive Organization Development & Change, both from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
