In his 20's Dion Leonard's lifestyle was slowly killing him, he was overweight, a pack a day smoker and a heavy drinker that drank to hide the demons from his childhood.

Dion started to overcome his past life memories and health problems when he took up the sport of ultra running. From not being able to to run around the block Dion has gone onto become one of the best ultra runners in the world competing in some of the worlds toughest endurance races across the planets most inhospitable locations.

With dedication, perseverance and determination it's possible to conquer extraordinary challenges whether that is against the race terrain of a desert or day to day life. Dion's drive to succeed in not only ultra running but life in general is unquestionably one of his strengths.
