Frederick A. Landy, born October 23rd in Charleston, South Carolina to the late Mr. Allen and Mrs. Tarrela L. Landy-Dunbar, has been God-anointed and appointed in music ever since he was around the age of three and a half, as recognized by his family; he is the grandson of the late great Rev Sheldonia Brown, his maternal grandmother.

Deemed the 'music connoisseur' as one of his major taglines within the music industry, Frederick A. Landy wears many hats which can read about on his official website, www.fredericklandy.wix.com/official. It is Landy's mission through motivational speaking, singing and just in life overall, to be an inspiration to all such in a way that others follow their dreams and make them a reality.

This title as given to the best-of-the-best within the entire state of Michigan in the area of musical performance vocal. In order for one to have been named top 10, he or she was judged by professionals within the state in music, radio and entertainment through submitting an acapella singing video.

It is the purpose of the Frederick A. Landy Scholarship to be a source of encouragement and inspiration to each recipient. It looks to provide a scholarship to commemorate the achievements of the student receiving this prestigious award.

Work Money Working (W.M.W.) (Fall 2016)

This was a presentation that I did for parents of students in grades 7th-12th. In this presentation I presented ways and resources that they could use to begin saving moving towards their child's education after high school, whether trade school, 2 year or 4 year college.

The Need to Belong (Spring 2015)

This was a presentation that I did for students in grades 7th & 8th. In this presentation I asked the question of "why do we feel we 'need to belong?'" and allowed for the understanding on how a 'need to belong' is not odd to want. At the end, students took the "Need to Belong" scale as an exciting part of the presentation which shows them whether they had a high, low or normal 'need to belong.'

The Human Race series: Being "African, Jamaican & Black " (Winter 2015)

This was a multicultural round table series, where I served as the moderator of the topic of being "African, Jamaican & Black." In this multicultural round table, I hosted one individual from each racial/ethnic background. They shared their experiences from a cultural standpoint and with living in America. At the end, the audience was able to pose questions and giveaways were also done. It was a very enlightening event.
