Alexis was raised In Virginia Beach, Virginia by her grandparents from the tender age of 3 after being abandoned by her mother and several home displacements until her grandmother adopted her.
Alexis was faced with many challenges as youth as she struggled with self identity and building relationships she often found herself isolated and alone. Alexis was however, an excellent student who prefected her writing and drama skills but often found herself in many confrontations in school, eventually she was placed in alternative school where she had learned many self realities about her self as well as, recognizing her goals.
She eventually relocated to Maryland after long gruelling battle over custody when she was 15 years old. Alexis was remanded back into her mother's care where she struggled to get along with her siblings being middle child of 4 children. She competed with her youngest sister often and had small quarrels with her baby brother. However Alexis suffered a list swell her identity once again after being introduced to her biological father only distorting her idea of who her family connections were. Shaken and heart broken Alexis faced many trial during this period which makes her survivor today from being a victim of our child protective system, human trafficking victim and survivor, overcoming homelessness, rebuilding and advocating for community unity, survivor of domestic abuse, finding Christ and herself through hope and preserverance.
