I am an advocate for Invisible Illness and Mental Health.

I was in a horrible car accident. I suffered a mild traumatic brain injury.

I have Central Pain Syndrome. CPS is caused by damage to the Central Nervous System; the brain, brainstem, or spinal cord. CPS brings a lifetime of moderate to severe pain often described as burning, aching or sharp, in addition to many other symptoms. I had doctors telling me it was in my head.

The most important lesson I learned was that it was NOT in my head. I decided it was time to turn all of this into a positive.

I have since published two novels, created a blog named Be Forever Strong and a podcast called. With Love, Alexa to raise awareness for chronic pain, mental health, and invisible illness. I also want to help others become advocates for themselves.
