Bio

Charlett Hodge, originally from Decatur, Georgia, is a wife and mother of three children. Charlett obtained her undergraduate degree in Communications from Howard University in Washington, D.C. She worked as a contractor for the Atlanta Housing Authority as a Family Support Coordinator helping families reach self sufficiency and prepare for relocation from project-based housing. In this position, Charlett realized she had a calling to help people work toward reaching heightened levels of self awareness and healing. Charlett attended Argosy University in Atlanta, Georgia where she received her Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. After receiving her masters, she obtained her associate licensure in counseling and worked at Riverwoods Behavioral Health as a therapist in the Adult, Adolescent and Geriatric units. During her time at Riverwoods, she also worked as an outpatient substance abuse therapist. While working with the adolescent population at Riverwoods, she saw the need for therapist in school settings. She left her employment as a therapist and became an interrelated teacher working with the special education population at Drew High School in Clayton County, Georgia. Charlett currently works as a school based therapist in an elementary setting helping children who have experienced mild to severe traumas. In 2020, Charlett plans to open a private practice and use her platform to continue sparking dialogue and increasing awareness and reducing stigma through Hodge Mental Health Consulting.
