Future lawyer gone rogue. I mean, farmer! I co-founded Trifecta Ecosystem, an urban aquaponics farming group, in 2012. We were on a mission to feed ourselves using aquaponics and wanted to help others make the shift in their own lives. The company has significantly evolved since those humble beginnings. Today, we still want to help people make a healthy local shift, in fact we are looking to help more than people feed themselves. Nowadays, we are on a mission to create cities that feed themselves, empowered by our technology, network of farmers and distribution channels. To learn more about our mission, our farm or aquaponics please check out our new website at www.trifectaecosystems.com or www.citythatfeedsitself.com
Creating Trifecta Ecosystems was the most challenging and yet most rewarding thing I ever set out to do. It was a decision to take on an undertaking that will take a lifetime and maybe more to accomplish- to leave a lasting impact and to have a direct effect on our planets ability to feed current and future populations. We constantly hear how we positively impact peoples plates, education programs in classrooms and therapeutic services across Connecticut. It's been incredibly rewarding, and we're just at the tip of the iceberg.
As a result of my experiences as an entrepreneur and farmer, I'm inspired to share our story and strongly advocate for farmers across the state of Connecticut. I have testified at our state's legislature, spoken at conferences, accelerator programs, classrooms and panels. My presentation topics typically range from aquaponics to food systems to navigating startup investment. Please reach out if you would like to learn more!
