Michael Mawn

I spoke at the commencement ceremony for Wy'East Academy in Portland, Oregon. The academy is for extreme sports athletes who are simultaneously pursuing their competitive athletic careers and a high school degree. I shared key lessons that I have learned throughout my 3 years competing around the world at the highest level of my sport. Additionally, I spoke about my experience pursuing athletics while in college, as well as the importance academics have on my life while in a professional athletic career. I discussed how you can pursue a professional athletic career while pursuing business or any other career goals, as I am doing now.

I spoke at an event for the StartupsUNL group at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The club is for young entrepreneurs or those who seek to be business owners after graduating. I shared my story of founding a tech startup while in college, gave tips on how to navigate the startup journey as a college student, and held a Q&A session.
