Joshua Underwood

Joshua Underwood is a published author, spoken word artist and motivational speaker, who uses his story to inspire others to discover their purpose and reach their God-given potential in life. Despite being labeled "gifted" as a child, having grown up in a crime infested neighborhood battling poverty and fatherlessness, Joshua faced many challenges at a very early age. Those challenges eventually resulted in him being arrested, incarcerated, and ultimately labeled a convicted felon. Now, after authoring 2 nonfiction books, creating a 10-week poetry program, becoming a motivational speaker and founding a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving at risk youth, Joshua has a powerful story and an exceptional ability to tell it. Joshua's faith and passion borne out of his lived experiences, combined with his raw, authentic "get-to-the-heart-of-the-matter" approach enable him to connect with and inspire people of all ages, from all walks of life.
