Bio

Velma Knowles is a Leadership Communications Coach, International Speaker, and Best-selling Author who believes that knowing your value is your greatest competitive advantage.

Her high-energy style, audience engagement, and actionable takeaways are what makes her a must-have speaker worldwide.

From her early days working in the Bahamas, where she was a part of a team that raised $3 million dollars and built the conservation legacy of the Bahamas, she learned the systematic approach to achieving sustainable growth in a unique way.

Taking the same principles for sustainable growth, she created a college trust fund that raised over $100k to cover her education, which brought her from the islands to the United States.

She applied the same lessons to drive a 90k membership deficit turnaround, and eventually went on to serve as the Vice President of Member Experience achieving a 600k plus membership growth in three years.

Today, Velma works with leaders to create the same kind of sustainable growth by focusing on building valuable leaders, improving team communication, and delivering relevant organizational value.

On a personal note, when not driving growth, Velma is out photographing birds and pretending she likes to exercise.
