Bio

A later bloomer - Trisha set up her communication coaching business after decades of an actor/speaker portfolio career - and with grown up kids! Living on the South coast of the UK with husband and a brain full of buzzing creativity - still blooming!

Her talk, book and podcast focus on avoiding the 'should' traps - remaining authentically confident in a world that often sucks us in to conformity and comparison.

Fear of rejection and a desire to conform drive our behaviour - blame the brain! The keynote 'Unsquash Yourself' will resonate with women in business who find themselves people-pleasing and comparing - blending in for fear of standing out.

Why?

Her main keynote is not a fluffy motivational talk on 'being authentic'! She doesn't believe in spouting banal instructions such as 'just be you'.

It is forensic!

What does it mean to be authentic? Is there one real self?

Why do intelligent spirited women in business slip into self-limiting habits such as people-pleasing and 'dumbing down'?

"Trisha has the enviable ability to hold attention – never knowing what brilliance is coming next. Creativity, boundless energy and enthusiasm and a willingness to share what she knows in innovative and fun ways." Marie Smith - CEO Aspiring Women

Unsquash Yourself

Fear of rejection and a desire to conform, drive our behaviour - blame the brain! This keynote resonates with driven women in business who find themselves people-pleasing and comparing - and somehow not in the driving seat! Blending in for fear of standing out. Is that anger actually frustration - frustration with yourself for not being yourself?

What if your business was a play?

An actor applies the rehearsal process to the journey of growing a business - a great way of looking at things! It works.

  • I am a member of the organising team for TEDxNorthwich and the speaker coach for potential and selected speakers at our annual event. Trisha applied to speak at our event and it was obvious that she had a clear idea 'worth sharing' (TEDx strapline) and an impressive background that included coaching, and a published book, she was an actor with stage presence and she was enthusiastic and passionate about her area of expertise - communication. Trisha is a delightful speaker. She has a wonderful blend of story-telling, imagery, humour and real connection between her and her audience. She works hard to make sure that her message is tailored to her audience and throughout our rigorous process remained cheerful, confident and committed. And what a result. A fabulous TEDx talk that had our audience gripped and engaged throughout. We were thrilled on the night and even more thrilled when her talk was uploaded to the TED website afterwards. Trisha's message needs to be heard and now she has this platform from which to share. A consummate professional with a cheeky sense of humour, I would highly recommend Trisha as a keynote speaker at events.

  • Trisha gave a very entertaining, funny and insightful talk to the club at our November meeting on the (apparent?) communication difficulties between men and women (the talk was called 'Read my Mind'). She is an accomplished speaker who knows how to keep her audience entranced. Feedback I have received from members since the meeting has been so good, I have booked her again for a future meeting. Trisha is one of the best speakers we have had in recent years and she is highly recommended.
