A single mom who survived a violent marriage, sexual abuse, divorce and rebuilding.

I am 36, a mom to three beautiful children, a teacher, and a therapist in training. I have spent most of my adult life as a single mom, or recovering from the trauma of abuse.

I’ve seen trauma first hand in my classroom, and watched its effects on my students and how they function. This has led me to diving into counseling work and learning what does that trauma do to our kids? What does it do to us as adults? How can we change this cycle?
