The Invisible Harm: Understanding Coercive Control in Schools and Systems"

This presentation exposes the often-missed signs of coercive control—manipulation, isolation, emotional dominance—that show up between students, staff, and even families. While schools are trained to respond to physical violence, coercive control is frequently ignored until tragedy or lawsuits occur. Participants will gain a clear understanding of coercive control, practical tools to recognize it early, and strategies to protect Survivor students and staff. This is essential learning for educators, youth advocates, and institutions aiming to become truly trauma-informed and safety-focused.
