This topic amongst many others is a reflection of how I got my life back after experiencing domestic abuse for three and a half years. The discussion entails excerpts from my book"Th Power of 3". I touch on the perspective of the abuser and how he/she too was wounded by abuse and has taken on the characteristics in some cases has happened to them, how domestic violence has no face, no status, and the different kinds of intimate partner relationships. I touch on the statistics, from the data that is compiled by the National DV Board. The talk takes a turn on using the tragedy of domestic violence to understand the importance of healing through therapy, and having a support system. Within the talk, I speak about the uniqueness, and authentic nature of the individual and how empowering their stories can be used as a testament to someone else life. I inspire them that what they went through is their power source to building a successful life.
This is an empowering talk that starts off with affirmations, declarations, and empowering phrases. "Standing in Your Power", is exactly what it means. The intent is to reach the soul of the individuals in the audience to motivate them; that no matter their experiences, the traumas they have faced in life are not something that should disempower them, their experiences should propel them to their next win. I speak about the ancestral roots that flow through their DNA and how that elevates their ancestors which in turn elevates the living family. This is designed to shake the inadequacies and incompetencies that flood our Spirit that are not the truth of who we are. "You are divinely designed to live in purpose." "There is something greater than you that is raring to come forth to change the world." If you have any doubts about who you are before hearing "Standing In Your Power" afterward you will never doubt your power again!
