Bio

Tim Hebert loves a good climb.

He appreciates the multiple points of perspective it provides, be it looking up, down or sideways. He delights in the lack of equilibrium caused by the weight of a backpack and incline juxtaposed with the freeness that comes in inching closer to the summit. He celebrates the unique obstacles it throws without warning—from harsh conditions to treacherous terrain. But, more importantly, he recognizes the leadership lessons derived along the way.

To Tim, every business hurdle and personal challenge mimics a climb, presenting both accomplishment and steep, seemingly insurmountable obstacles. Those challenges, Tim believes, are really just masquerading as untapped opportunities—the chance to do something different and better.

A perennial entrepreneur, innovator and adventurer, Tim sees the opportunity to affect change everywhere and is passionate about helping others do the same. A voracious author and seasoned speaker, he enjoys exploring concepts related to intentional leadership, business transformation and professional and personal introspection. A business owner for well over two decades—and the current CEO of Trilix, an application development and systems integration company—he believes leaders can and need to do better. He believes effective leaders need to embrace the climb.

Leadership is a Choice: How Will You Stand Up?

Tim Hebert believes leadership is a choice. A choice you have the privilege to make over and over again. We see choice play out in both loud and quiet ways—like when someone runs towards the fire when everyone else runs away, or when someone pays for the coffee of the individual behind them. Great leaders choose to stand up more than they choose to sit down.

In this keynote, Tim explores the power of personal choice surrounding leadership, leaving attendees with a greater understanding of:
-The power of failure in your leadership journey
-The archetypes that define intentional, strategic leadership
-The role the unguarded moment plays in

By being the individual who can initiate change—rather than react to it—attendees leave empowered to make a positive impact on the lives of others and, in so doing, settle into a different leadership frame of mind.

As a certified facilitator of the Leadership Challenge Workshop, Tim Hebert brings this workshop into your organization for a customized training that will leave your colleagues and team with the perspective and tool sets to become more intentional, exemplary leaders. In this interactive, experiential workshop, you will dive deep into The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership:

Leverage Strengths During Transition
4 hours
(View workshop agenda)

Very early in life we are introduced to the concept of transition. Sometimes, it’s the first time we let go of our parent’s comforting hand and enter daycare. Other times, it may be the first time we sleep at away from home. We are conditioned, at a young age, to understand that change is a very normal, very real part of our life. As we get older, we learn that life will continue to present moments for transition regularly and it becomes up to us whether we view those moments as great opportunity or danger and risk.

Accountability: The Choice to be Responsible
4 hours
(View workshop agenda)

Ask a number of executives and employees about the chief reason companies experience problems with leadership, culture and empowerment and many will agree it’s because a lack of accountability prevails through the organization. While leaders feel their employees don’t hold themselves accountable, employees tend to feel there is a lack of responsibility at the executive level. At the end of the day, you can choose to be accountable or not. If you are accountable, you’re focused on the desired results and outcomes, regardless of the circumstance. If you are not, you get distracted, focused instead on unbecoming habits like playing the victim card, blamestorming and making excuses.
