Dr. Vadlakonda Sudhakar Rao is a Pediatric Cardiologist by profession, holding academic positions in local medical schools. He is a fully ordained Hindu priest. His previous publications include books on Meditation, Sri Vishnu Sahasranamam, Sundarakanda, Sri Rama Raksha Stotram in English and a book in Telugu, “Pillala Arogya Samrakshana”, released during the first World Telugu Conference in Hyderabad in April 1975. In addition, he has several scientific publications to his credit. There are several other works waiting to be published. He has given several talks and lectures in scientific, scriptural and religious fields. His main goal is to bridge the gap between ancient wisdom of India and understanding it in terms of modern science. To achieve this goal, he has given numerous talks in local temples, churches, synagogues, mosques etc. including the lecture series, entitled “Wisdom of Ancient India series in local Sri Lakshmi Narayan temple.
He is the one of the founder members of the Hindu Temple Society of NE Ohio. He writes poetry in Sanskrit, Telugu, Hindi, Urdu and English and was awarded, “Ambassador of American Poetry. He was recently the recipient of “Heart of the community Award” by the local chapter of American Heart Association.
He is available on Facebook, “Sudhakarvraohinduism” and his articles, poems, bhajans, videos etc., are available for free download on the internet. His hobbies include tennis and carpentry. He offers religious discourses in local temples, churches etc. by invitation and has participated in several interfaith meetings.
