Her leadership on the Southfield Celebrates Black History Month programming earned the 2025 mParks Innovative Programming Award, recognizing her ability to design impactful events that engage and educate communities.
Sam seamlessly combines real-world experience with a passion for fostering inclusive spaces. As a biracial professional, she understands firsthand the importance of representation, belonging, and building bridges across differences.

When not speaking or designing programs, Sam enjoys life with her wife, Jenny, and her two amazing kids, Stella and Isabella, and her pets June (dog) and Olivia (Cat). Grounded in a love for connection, family, and inclusion, Sam's work centers on creating opportunities for everyone to feel seen, valued, and empowered.
