Roosevelt Sargent was born into a violent, drug infested, poverty-filled world that only got worse as he grew older. With both parents in prison, his journey through homelessness, and the thug lifestyle that surrounded him daily, the smart money was on him not living to reach the age of eighteen. Add in teenage parenthood, and his future seemed predetermined. But then one day he had an encounter with God that would change him forever. From then on, he was a new man. Sargent later became a published writer of nationally and internationally distributed music projects and he spent over fifteen years traveling and sharing his story to inspire hope in the lives of troubled youth across America. During this time, he produced the CL Ryderz; the 1st Christian rap group to grace the stage of the nationally syndicated television show, “Soul Train”. He also founded a neighborhood youth church in Southern California where he selflessly served his local community and now, he has added Author to his list of achievements with his autobiography “Victorious Underdog” and his children’s book series “What Now? Lil Roe.” His latest endeavors include his role as 1st Assistant Director for a string of movies that have been released, including the movie “AM Radio”, starring Omar Gooding which can be seen right now on Amazon Prime Video an “Trap City”, staring rap icon Jeezy, Brandon T. Jackson, and Omar Gooding. Today Roosevelt resides in Nashville, TN where he continues to serve and impact the lives of the many he comes in contact with each day.
