Branding and HR Sitting in a Tree

Modern business leaders understand that brands are built from the inside, not the outside and that if brands are built from the inside, HR professionals (the guys and gals most likely to be responsible for company culture and employee engagement) should be a part of their organizations’ branding teams. This workshop is designed for CEOs, marketing professionals and HR specialists, and explores how organizations can tear down the silos between their branding and HR teams and replace those silos with powerful organizational synergies.

It takes a village to raise a brand

Even the most clever marketing or advertising campaigns can be completely derailed by disengaged employees delivering poor customer experience. Branding is a team sport! No matter how creative your marketing team may be, they simply can’t build a strong brand on their own. This workshop is designed to help companies build a highly engaged brand village of employees, customers, vendors and other stakeholders who are excited about helping your organization achieve its branding and business goals.

Repositioning your brand? Start with HR, not marketing!

If you want to truly reposition your organization in the minds and hearts of employees, customers and the wider business community, everyone, from the highest levels of leadership to the newest team member in the organization, needs to understand what will be fundamentally different about the organization moving forward, what the organization stands for and what types of behaviors will not be tolerated. Before launching marketing, advertising or social media campaigns to the public, your employees should be fully sold on the organization’s new direction, should be excited about helping it to achieve its branding and business goals and should know exactly what their new roles and responsibilities will be moving forward. This workshop is designed to teach business leaders to reposition their brands from the inside, starting with an HR-led employee engagement program before passing the baton to marketing to announce your rebrand to the world!

  • One of the key objectives of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados (ICAB), as a member–based organisation of chartered accountants, is to help our members be more “future ready” and thrive in a rapidly¬ changing business environment. Ron’s Tighten Your Shoelaces workshop challenged our members to look beyond the bottom line when embarking on their branding journeys and presented a compelling case to encourage finance professionals to view employee brand engagement as a powerful tool to improve their organizations' profitability.

  • Ron's focus on combining branding and human resources into a single discipline (what Ron refers to as “Bhranding”) has never been more critical than it is now. As a guest on my podcast "The HR Sound Off Podcast Show", he shared excellent insight and tactics on how HR and branding can work together to make firms more appealing to internal and external customers. This podcast focuses on boosting awareness of significant HR trends and insights, and my audience warmly welcomed Ron's episode. I would happily recommend Ron to speak at, or facilitate, any event, workshop or interview that you may be considering, and I would advise you to book him as soon as possible before his schedule fills up.

  • Ron provided the catalyst of change in my life, providing me a first-hand look into the relationship between branding and HR – a move that inspired my career change from HR to marketing. Ron’s “Bhranding” workshops remain thought-provoking and inspirational – and I carry his insights with me in my day-to-day life. I’d highly recommend him as a keynote speaker for workshops or conferences of any size.

  • All great brands recognize that their first audiences are internal. Ron’s “Bhranding” framework provides a blueprint, from ideation to meaningful execution, to help ensure that the behaviors your culture drives internally are aligned with the desired external perception of your brand. - Paula Walcott, Senior HR Professional & Culture and Employee Experience Strategist

  • I have been fortunate to have been exposed to Ron's Bhranding equation from its early days but this was my first time experiencing the workshop and it was as engaging as when I was first introduced to the concept. For too long employees have been the forgotten brand ambassadors, often left to feel secondary to the external client or consumer. Ron's Bhranding equation emphasizes the importance of employees being a central figure in the organization's brand village and uses language and logic that senior leaders serious about promoting their brand and advancing their organizations simply cannot ignore and can relate to.

  • Ron’s “Bhranding” framework is a powerful tool that helps companies understand how to leverage the influence of their people by creating highly engaged teams, who are motivated both by the organization’s visionary purpose and by their ability to use their talents to drive organizational results.

  • As part of Antilles Economics' transition to a full-service business advisory firm, we engaged Ron to lead a workshop on developing brands, with a specific focus on rebranding and repositioning. The goal was to not only refresh our team's understanding of branding, but also to learn more about Ron's unique perspective on "Bhranding” (the integration of Branding and HR), and to provide the team with an opportunity to learn from a master about how to handle our own repositioning. Ron's presentation on "Bhranding” and the ensuing discussion was so engaging that we had to bring him back for a Part 2 so we could delve even deeper into this fascinating topic.

  • Ron's keynote presentation to the Cayman Islands Marketing Association (CIMPA) was phenomenal! His presentation contained relatable and current trends, balanced with actionable advice that we could take and apply right away. Although the presentation was remote, he found ways to interact with the audience and make us almost forget that this was a long-distance presentation.

  • Ron's “Bhranding” sessions cemented the importance of strong team cooperation in strengthening and repositioning the Antilles Economics brand. I also benefitted from his guidance on how to successfully implement business initiatives in an agile manner, and the application of his advice has enhanced my planning and execution capacities.

  • Employees drive a company’s brand success when they are motivated, engaged, and buy into their organisation’s vision. Ron’s Bhranding Equation is a compelling framework that encourages HR and marketing and communications specialists in organisations to work together to get staff fired up and passionate about what they do and how they contribute to the company’s vision. When this happens, customers, clients and stakeholders feel the energy and fall in love with the brand. The result: a strong brand and great dividends for everyone.
