“Mastering the How, What & When of Trading & Investment Executions “

This lecture examines the reasoning, methodologies and (yes the) statistics on a number of simple and effective techniques for analyzing the markets and individual stocks, for determining when to buy and when to sell.
Beginning material includes some “tricks of the trade” of using intermediate and advanced order types to attain better pricing and more execution control. From there we turn to our primary focus of this lecture, locating sound investment entry and exit targets based on a variety of methods: including chart reading, technical indicators, certain fundamental measurements and specific key observations.
After covering the reasoning and theory, we turn to how various technical elements have actually performed in the past. The provided statistic will include calculation and analysis for every individual stock in the S&P 500 for over a decade. Lastly we look at intuition & reasoning, with the “10 Classic Sell Signals" - a warning list of key relationships to watch for.

Long-Term Investing Strategies

In this presentation we focus on investment strategies for longer-term oriented positions. We will look at the reasoning and methodology on a number of practical and applicable techniques and strategies for analyzing an investment and its subsequent position management.
Then we will apply these techniques by looking at some “real-time” trade and investment setups, on a number of the most popular and highly traded investment vehicles of the time period.
Specifically, we will look at some long term investment cycles and timing methods for diversified mutual funds or ETF purchases. We will explore some of the most relevant price patterns that an investor can use, for individual stock selections and how to spot high probability manipulations signals.

Then we will focus on order executions and how to utilize these patterns for proper entries, exits and stop placements.

Finally, we will examine 7 additional (non-technical) signals that may indicate that your stock is in trouble.

Testimonials (3)
  • Of the 200 speakers, who appeared at the Phila. Chapter of AAII in the 33 years I’ve been an officer, perhaps five of them were of Ray Rondeau’s caliber. And Ray was the best. As a former academic, I can write unequivocally that his two technical analysis workshops were first rate. He knew his subject thoroughly, came super-prepared, and was an excellent explainer. The audience loved both presentations. Ray Rondeau is the only speaker who we have ever invited for a third appearance.

  • I have known Raymond for quite some time through the AAII where I have both seen him speak to large groups and host AAII Chapter meetings in Boston and Rhode Island. Raymond clearly has a deep understanding of the methods and algorithms required for profitable technical trading. His presentations are both educational and insightful. His style of presentation is graphically rich, and he successfully practices what he preaches. Even an experienced trader will find something to learn from Raymond.

  • Raymond's presentation at the Long Island Stock Traders meetup group went above and beyond all of our expectations. Not only was it powerful and filled with great trading strategies, he had some great comic relief to keep us all entertained for hours. We would love for him to come and present again. Thank you Raymond!
