In my early thirties I developed a life plan. Cryptically it is (1) Learn all I can (2) Practice in the workforce as long as I can (3) Write in my field. Recent certification in copywriting, and related courses has further prepared me to take advantage of my training and experience to leverage other businesses to their next level. I recently authored a book, "Non MBA Pocket Guide to Management" available on Amazon. I am working on a follow-on about Managing People. I do copywriting, case studies and white papers primarily for industrial companies.
My experience covers financial management of large public sector organizations; designing, establishing and leading successful analytical organizations in the public sector. Private sector experience is leading projects and performing analyses for large public sector customers and for small - midsize businesses (DoD Mentor-Protegee Program) to identify impediments for growth. I continue to share my expertise and training with volunteer organizations and colleagues when possible. I continue to publish and participate in professional Organizations. I have published 14 referred Publications; 5 editorials in SWFlorida Business News; 10+ Technical Company Reports on Studies designed and conducted. I have taught business subjects and management at the undergraduate and graduate levels. I have designed and conducted workshops in the US and Germany. I have served on panels for professional organizations at the national level.
I have 30 years public service experience and 13 years experience in the private sector. Designed and presented multiple workshops for professional growth in U.S.and Europe. I was the founder of the largest chapter to ever charter in the American Military Comptrollership Association, a world wide professional organization for resource management in the Services of DoD.
My technical specialties are: Management, Cost Analysis, Financial Analysis, Program analysis, Organizational Analysis, Small Business Analysis, Statistical Analysis, and Operations Research.
I love to write about water reclamation studies, aerospace, industrial issues, poetry, , charity work. life style enhancement and family dynamics . I read extensively in a variety of subjects. I usually have three books in process: one each in business, self improvement and business. I read multiple trade journals.
