Testimonials (1)
  • I had the privilege of attending Omar Kenyatta Clark’s presentation, “Mastering the Peer Narrative: Become a Voice of Hope,” offered in partnership with Doors to Well-Being. Omar is an exceptional peer support specialist and an engaging educator. His session was straightforward, well-organized, and easy to follow from start to finish. Omar covered a wide range of meaningful topics, including why stories heal, how to craft an effective narrative, the ethical nuances of sharing personal experiences with clients, and a practical framework for shaping one’s story. He also offered valuable best practices for public speaking. What stood out most was Omar’s own story—succinct, powerful, authentic, and rich with imagery. He modeled exactly what he taught, demonstrating how a well-crafted narrative can inspire hope and connection. Omar is personable, approachable, and clearly passionate about this work. I left the session with a deeper understanding of the peer narrative process and concrete tools I can apply in my own coaching practice. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking to strengthen their storytelling skills or enhance their peer support work.
