I have been fortunate to have managers and bosses who have filled their roles exhibiting great leadership. Of all the qualities that defines great leadership the most important for me is their knowledge and faith in when to step back to allow others (including myself at times) to step up. The challenge is how to empower the followers and value our own contributions in the important role of a follower.
For years the quite weight of followership has been growing. In fact, I believe that what leadership was to the 20th century, follwership will be for 21st century and beyond. I look forward to discussing the inspiring advantage in embracing what it means to be a follower and how it is changing the world.
