Nancy Scannell

She has worked with business owners, software developers, higher education, and charities, and she has mentored upcoming leaders to capitalize on their strengths and facilitate growth in their organizations.

Nancy’s 2019 TEDx Talk entitled “The Power of the Pause” led to keynote presentations including Trust and Crucial Conversations, Positive Leadership, Let’s Talk about Time (Management), and Avoiding Burn-out in the Workplace.

Nancy has taught higher education courses since 1997, served as Assistant Dean at Valparaiso University from 2009-2020 and teaches Global Leadership and Team Development in the Valparaiso University Graduate School.

Nancy is an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation and is a Presence-Based Certified Coach. She has earned certificates in global Coaches Rising courses including The Neuroscience of Change, Become a Transformative Presence, and The Power of Embodied Transformation. She also participated in Presence-Based Resilience training and Nancy Kline’s Time to Think training focused on the power of listening to enhance creativity and innovation.

She earned her BA in English at the University of Illinois, her MA in Education at St. Xavier University in Chicago, and her MS in Digital Media at Valparaiso University. Nancy is a member of the Porter-Starke Services Foundation Board and has a passion for leadership development, education, wellness, and faith.
