Currently working as a Senior Portfolio Manager and Wealth Advisor at Designed Wealth Management, Toronto, Moize Goulamhoussen has more than twenty years’ experience within the financial industry. He has been in his current role since January 2024; before this he worked at RBC Dominion Securities, Toronto as a Portfolio Manager and Wealth Advisor from July 2020 to December 2023. Here, he managed the financial and investment affairs of corporate clients, family offices, and high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families.
Moize Goulamhoussen began his career in the financial industry in 2004 as an investment advisor at TD Bank Financial Group, before moving to ALS International, Hong Kong, in March 2010. By October 2016 he had accepted the position of Vice President and Portfolio Manager at BMO Nesbitt Burns. During his time with this organisation, Mr. Goulamhoussen achieved an 85% retention rate, much higher than the industry average at the time of 70%. His focus was on discretionary investment management, and he was the key individual for all portfolio decisions, trading, advice, and research, actively monitoring models and screens that cascaded into client portfolios. Mr. Goulamhoussen also collaborated with internal specialists to provide advice on risk management, estate and tax planning, charitable giving, and private banking, and he was responsible for overseeing the execution of related strategies.
Mr. Goulamhoussen holds a B.A. in Political Science, Economics and Sociology from McGill University, Montreal (awarded in 2003), is licensed as a Portfolio Manager by the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO), and is options licensed by the same organisation. He is a citizen of both France and Canada.
