At the age of 36, Mr. Nazarian left behind a successful career in retail sales management and embarked on a science, sustainability, and engineering-focused path. His career choices have led to him becoming a Design Systems Engineer for a major automotive company. He has been the STEM Program Manager for STEMNETICS where he’s helped train staff and design educational STEM programs for children and educators.

Mr. Nazarian is an active member of his community. He was appointed to the City of Durand, Michigan’s Planning Commission Board in 2018, where he has served jointly on the Non-Motorized Steering Committee Board and the Master Plan Committee as the city's sustainability advisor.

Mr. Nazarian holds a Master's in Engineering Management and Project Management from Eastern Michigan, a Bachelor of Science in Energy and Sustainable Systems from the University of Michigan – Flint, and an Associate in Science from Mott Community College.
