My name is Marian Adejokun and I am 27 years old. I have a Ba Hons and MA in Early Years Education. I am an International inspirational speaker, Multi-Award Winner, Published Author of 2 books, Youth Advocate and the CEO of Marian Adejokun Foundation, Founder of ReachOut2All Youth Organization portal services for our young people and Founder of B-Royal Clothing Brand. I would like to be nominated for the Most Inspirational Award.
I was born and raised in Atlanta Georgia and later moved to London, where I have just completed my masters degree at UCL in education.
My story goes back to January 11th 2011, Unknown to me, I had a rare, deadly allergy to eye drops. Shockingly, after using it, all of my skin peeled off from head to toe. I then went into coma for one whole month. This is known as Stevens Johnson Syndrome, which is a one in a million deadly allergy reaction. I would like to share my amazing story with the world.
My life is now about encouraging and motivating all youths, not to ever give up. No matter what the struggles may be, one has to believe in themselves and have a positive attitude towards life. I see my story as a positive one.
I believe this will inspire a lot of youths to be grateful for what they have. Even more so, to fulfil their purpose in life and be a blessing to someone else. My motto is "Believe in yourself and follow your dreams".
I am so happy to be alive and share my unique story. I was born 4 months early and I weighed only one pound. I went through all kinds of surgeries but despite it all my mom, my siblings and friends have always kept me motivated to move forward in life.
I am now a young author of two books. My first book is about my life the good and the bad, titled "My Life Is Not My Own" and my second book is filled with inspiring and encouraging words composed by myself, titled "ReachOut2All".
I am passionate about empowering youths worldwide, and impacting young lives. I am also actively involved in community work, schools and church ministry work in the UK, USA, Dubai etc. I have also been invited to speak alongside AD King Foundation at the Atlanta Global Humanitarian Summit 2016 (alongside Naomi King), BBC News, ITV News, Sky TV...
