In 2008 I had that lightbulb moment that so many of us have from time to time. I had a great idea!
I knew if I could just figure out how to get it made that once I did it would become an instant overnight success.
Boy was I wrong.
The truth is figuring out the sourcing and manufacturing and how to actually get it made was the easy part.
I spent the next 4 years trying to bring my product to market. I had a website, I had two infomercials, I was even on Good Morning America! But no matter what I tried I just couldn't get my invention that I knew everyone needed to take off. So after 4 years of disappointments and failure I knew I had to go back into the real world and get a job.
2 years into my "real job" I fatefully saw a post on Facebook about selling on amazon. My interest was piqued and I quickly began learning everything I could about selling on the platform.
With my newfound knowledge I took my product put it on amazon. I figured I had nothing to lose.
Within 3 weeks it became a Top 10 Best Seller. In the past 5 years since launching it not only remains a Top 10 Best Seller on amazon but is a #1 Seller every single holiday season.
I now have a 7 figure business that I took from zero to hero solely on amazon. And all because of an idea I had in the shower one day and never giving up.
