Creating positive work relationships

HR and business professionals must create positive work relationships in order to get their job done most effectively. This session will provide research-based tips and practical techniques on how to create positive work relationships with clients, peers, managers, direct reports, and pretty much everyone else. Note: these tips may also work in personal relationships, including family!

Practicing a Growth Mindset

HR and Business Professionals need to learn, grow, and develop - and often need to encourage that growth and development in others as well. This has been referred to as a growth mindset but did you know that creating a growth mindset in yourself and others is more than just a matter of beliefs? The words that you use and the approaches that you take can tip the very sensitive scales from a growth mindset to a fixed mindset. In this workshop, learn and practice the skills to increase growth mindset for yourself and others.

Leading Change (Half-day/Full-day)

One of the key roles of HR and business professionals is leading change. Let Lisa guide you on how to lead change, both at a personal and organizational level. Depending on the length of this session, Lisa can walk you through the stages of personal change and how to effectively lead yourself and others through change, with exercises and practices. A longer session can include models for organizational change leadership including how to gain buy-in and how to create your own change team to help you be more effective in your change leadership. This can be a workshop with varying levels of practice.

Delivering effective positive feedback

You may think you know how to deliver feedback, but chances are that you don't do it as effectively as you would like. You may not even know what feedback could really be. Lisa's research is demonstrating that most leaders are not effective in delivering feedback that encourages not only greater task performance, but also better working relationships, increasing a psychologically healthy and safe work environment and greater employee engagement. Learn how to use positive feedback so that all ships can rise together. Also, learn how to address weaknesses and performance problems proactively and keep relationships intact.

Leveraging Positive Psychology Research to Create Better Work Environments

Spend some time discussing current issues and questions with Lisa. In this presentation, Lisa will bring 3-5 new research topics out of the field of applied positive psychology, change management, leadership development and organizational development that are of interest to your audience. Let's discuss resilience, strengths, optimism, coaching, high performance teams and more. This session can be tailored to your audience's most pressing questions. This can be a workshop with practice or a talk with Q&A. Timing 30min - 3 hrs.
