Linda P. Thompson is a Certified Health and Life Coach, Inspirational Speaker and Published Author. She empowers and teaches individuals along with groups the importance of self care, reinventing themselves and living a fulfilled life in every area mentally, physically, socially,emotionally and financially.
She recently in 2018 retired from Public Health after twenty-seven plus years of expertise in the field of Social Worker Case Management for a maternity clinic. At her retirement luncheon, she was awarded the Old North State Award from the office of Governor Roy Cooper due to being nominated by her co workers. This award was for her years of service and volunteering in the community throughout 1981 to 2018.
During her years of employment, she was involved in Child Abuse Prevention Month, Domestic Violence Task Force, Foster Grandparent Program, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome Counselor for Wayne County, Habitat for Humanity Task Force, Parenting Classes Sessions and Coordinated the First Blue Ribbon campaign for Child Abuse in 1991. She was also employed by Pitt County Schools, Pitt Memorial Hospital and the Department of Corrections.
She holds a Bachelor Degree from Winston Salem State University in Sociology and Psychology.
In 2018, She was a Digital Speaker for Entrepreneurs at the Success Women Conference in Biloxi, Mississippi. The Keynote Speakers were Robin Roberts and Lisa Nichols. This was a network business conference. Some of the topics she teaches on includes self esteem, bullying, anxiety,stress, mindset, depression,grief,money management,grief,work relationships,parenting and domestic violence. She present topics according to the audience need.
She enjoys serving and inspiring individuals to believe in themselves and change for the better. She likes to line dance, yoga, movement activities, bowl, crochet, travel and spend time with family. It is rewarding for her to be a coach and mentor to individuals.
She is the author of Jealousy or Envy: Is there a killer in You? -Stop the war and be set free.
Her second book is Speak Positively and Expect The Victory -Words Of Wisdom.
Promoting her message through her books, She has appeared on local television stations in the New Orleans, Louisiana area and Goldsboro,North Carolina. She was also the guest of an online talk show. She has held book signings at various venues.
