Linda J. Baraka is a highly skilled government affairs professional and a strong advocate for the Newark community. Linda Baraka serves as the First Lady of Newark, alongside husband, Mayor Ras J. Baraka. In addition, she implements campaigns for small business, non-profits, municipalities and elected officials. Most recently, Linda worked with Newark Social to turn downtown Newark’s Mulberry Commons, and the nearby Ironside Building into a winter wonderland for the Newark Winter Village event. Over 10,000 community members visited Newark Social’s Winter Village event in late 2021 and early 2022.
Linda Baraka also supports Newark’s local businesses. With experience as a family service worker, Linda has long understood the importance of community and social responsibility. She currently serves as the Chief of Staff to Assemblywoman Cleopatra Tucker.
