Linda Doyne

After a successful career in real estate title examining and a 15 year separation from her husband, Linda Bartee Doyne, took her estranged alcoholic husband back into her home. She simply wanted to give him a soft place to die. His death seemed imminent. Over his remaining ten years of life, she evolved into his full-time care giver.

Linda maintained her sanity by providing non-judgmental and non-criticizing support for family and friends of end-stage alcoholics through her blog, books and one-on-one support.

Today she speaks of her journey through the chaos and living her own life. Linda encourages loved ones of alcoholics to create their own satisfying life instead of becoming collateral damage. She believes it’s not enough to simply survive, but rather to thrive.
