Len is presently an adjunct professor of management at the University of North Florida where he teaches courses that he developed on business creativity and innovation. Len is also a faculty member of the American Management Association where he teaches "Creative Thinking in Business."
In 2013, Len founded Ferman Innovation to help companies generate and evaluate breakthrough ideas to improve the customer experience. Clients include Bank of America, Wells Fargo, RSA, Gordon Foods, US Bank, the Jacksonville Zoo and the Florida Sports Foundation.
Prior to founding Ferman Innovation, Len spent 25 years with Fortune 100 companies managing customer experience research and innovation. Len held senior positions at AT&T, Barnett Bank and Bank of America where he introduced many new products, led the front end of innovation and served as head of ideation. He developed the Idea Tournament™ process to identify and select optimal concepts for development.
Len is a frequent speaker at major business conferences on innovation, including a keynote speech at the Customer Experience Leaders Summit.
Len is also a 7-time gold medalist at the International Jugglers' Association World Joggling Championships, which combines running with juggling. He set a record of 2:23 for running while juggling in the half mile in 2008. He is also one of a few Americans to have run a 5 minute mile at the age of 50, which was documented in a Runner's World article in 2015.
Len holds two masters degrees from Duke University (M.B.A. in Marketing and a Master’s in Economics).
