Lao Zhi Chang, born Patrick Lovitt, is a Daoist Priest/Abbot, public speaker, and Wealth Manager. He is the Head Abbot of the Qingcheng Mountain Daoist Association Houston Branch and runs a seminary for the training of Daoist Priests, Monks, and Wandering Daoists. He is also known for his innovatively designed seminars ‘the Way of Change’ and ‘the Path of Relationships.’ He writes and talks on subjects like health and synergy, breaking conventional fears and patterns, accumulating more than just wealth, optimum utilization of the available resources, and creating and enhancing relationships in your professional and personal life. He was raised in a Buddhist monastery with Chan/Zen Buddhist principles as well as the teachings of the Complete Reality sect of Daoism. After living in the monastery for 10 years, he left at 18 years old and traveled the world (about 50 countries in all) in the US Military for 22 years. He has trained and taught around 140 Daoist Priests and Novitiates on 5 continents and taught workshops before thousands in many different countries.
He has been a successful entrepreneur, a doctor of Chinese Medicine, and now serves as a partner in a financial management firm. He is the founder of the ‘Four Dragons Institute,’ which produces training materials and programs for the ordained Daoist community. His countless hours and sessions with thousands and thousands of clients in just about every subject imaginable has given him the insight and skill to be able to help anyone on a personal or even group level find their nature, remove the obstacles that prevent them from thriving, and create the habitat necessary for the reaching of maximum of their human potential.
