I am a peripatetic sociologist, writer, editor and Jewish communal activist. I have published 4 books and dozens of other publications.
My principle areas of expertise are (in no particular order): Contemporary Jewish communities , antisemitism, the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, popular music culture (particularly heavy metal, scenes, communities and 'small worlds'.
I have wide experience of speaking at both academic and non-academic events, together with considerable media experience. These have included appearing on panels at events such as the Westminster Faith Debates and Jewish Book Week; speaker events such as TEDx Krakow, Ignite London and 5X15; and many other events in the British Jewish community.
