I am new to this, but I am a Survivor of child abuse, narc mother, sick pervert father, sexual assault by at least 20 sailors/crew members I had to walk past in a walkway on a cruise ship at the age of 14; drugged OJ and raped in my dorm bed at 18 when I was sick with the flu; raped (age 20) by a Bulgarian acrobat with RBBB Circus (Burns International Security uniform) in the back seat of my car just because I was trying to be a friend and dropped a friend and her friends off on my way home; drugged at a club (age 21), left by my friends because they didn't know I had been drugged, and was taken to a house and gang-raped. I didn't go to the police (to avoid a scandal at my school, and to avoid an international incident - I was taken home and had no idea who they were or where they took me for #3). I didn't tell anyone - not my parents, not other family, not friends. I didn't talk about it for at least 10 years. It was only THEN that my Healing Journey began, and it continued once I entered my 40-year career as a personal injury paralegal and could Help Others who were suffering more than I was. After I saw our former President in a video clip on Oct 6, 2018, mock Dr. Christine Blasey Ford at a rally...because she didn't know who the house belonged to, where it was, how to get there, didn't go to the police, didn't tell her parents... and I saw women laughing, I really "lost it!" After being triggered on a daily basis for 5-6+ years with all of the media coverage on sexual assaults in the entertainment field, sports, #MeToo, college campuses, etc. - I told my husband that I want to send a letter of support, but it will only get lost in the 1000's of letters that other women will write, so I. HAVE. TO. DO. SOMETHING!!!! A short time after I said that, ideas just kept pouring into my mind, and the idea for Papillon Z was born. It has taken 3+ long years, due to an inept developer I had to fire, and learn (after 40 years working in the legal field) how to develop and design my website so I could finish it. Then the pandemic. Then I got Covid. Then my site broke because the developer "sabotaged" it with custom coding so the platform could not automatically update if he was no longer working on it. It took 8-1/2 months to rebuild over 100 pages! During this time, my tag line came to me - "Empowering Women to Find Their Inner Badass! (to prevent SA, exploitation, trafficking, etc.) EDUCATION + AWARENESS = PREVENTION!!! Through Tools and Resources (tons of links) on my site. Members have a Study Guide for weeks 1-4, and a ton of Benefits! My Mission has grown to be 4-fold now! I have National Resources accessible for everyone all the time. I share the Mental Health, and SA links frequently on social media w/o mention of my organization. My Soul's Mission is to HELP OTHERS!!! Women need to learn how to Prevent so they can share those stories instead of all of the Survivor after-the-fact stories! I have Powerful Messages of Hope !!!
