Julie Smith is an alignment-based physiotherapist. Over the past 3 decades, she has pursued any and all knowledge, conducting research and experiencing both successes and failures. Her successes helped her know that something worked; however, the insights that came from her failures helped her truly understand why things worked and how to maintain the changes that occurred.
Through those successes—and mostly the failures—she has developed a specialized way to treat her neck and other injuries along the way.
Now, instead of being in pain, she is pain-free a significant amount of the time. Instead of not being able to move her neck, she has freedom of movement in all her joints. And instead of being afraid of activity, she maintains a highly active lifestyle.
For her, it was her neck; for you, it may be your shoulder or knee.
She wants to help as many people as possible use their body when and how they want. She believes everyone, including you, can manage pain and take control of their body.
She created the Pain Bending Game so people can learn to help themselves. As part of the game, she does presentations like this one, offers coaching programs, online courses, books, cards, and is currently developing an app. Some of the prizes in the drawing will include these game pieces.
