Joy Huggins

Joy Huggins is a foster kid born into a life of service. From Girl Scout to veteran, to community volunteer, she has dedicated her talents to her local community. In the spirit of sharing her knowledge, she founded Defender Academy, a training institution for middle and high school students teaching them the fundamentals of cybersecurity; and Hack Joyously.

The goal of Defender Academy is to educate the next generation of cybersecurity professionals to help close the workforce gap, while also creating a dynamic, credentialed, and diverse workforce. Hack Joyously is a confidence coaching program for women and minorities, that encourages a resilient and confident cyber superstar!
