Joseph Schratt is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Futramo located in Canonsburg, Pa, a company that specializes in the automation of manufacturing processes.
Originally from Canada, the Schratt family immigrated to the United States and settled in the Pittsburg, Pennsylvania area when Joe was three years old. After graduating High School in 2011, Joe Schratt went on to attend Central State University on a full scholarship. He graduated summa cum laude, receiving a dual degree in Business and Engineering.
After graduation, he worked at several companies in both the public and private sectors, including a position as a Senior Facilities Analyst for the State of Ohio and as an NPI Manufacturing Engineer for Cincinnati-based company, Kargo. During this time he developed a knack for implementing robotics to improve quality assurance outcomes and increase overall efficiency. This led to the founding of Futramo and Schratt’s current role overseeing the day-to-day operations of the plant and hundreds of employees at their offices located in Canonsburg.
In addition to the passion he brings to his role as CEO of Futramo, Joe Schratt is also a dedicated philanthropist. He devotes his time and financial resources to several organizations, including The Global Food Initiative and The Global Poverty Project. He serves on the board of the Canonsburg Educational Foundation where he works to diligently provide educational opportunities for youths from the very same community he was raised in. He also volunteers his time as a coach for the Youth Football and Cheer Program.
Joseph Schratt currently resides in Canonsburg with his dog Hugo, where he enjoys a healthy, active lifestyle. He is an avid traveler and has been to over fifty countries on four continents in his lifetime. He enjoys road biking, wakeboarding, sailing, hiking, and learning new languages in addition to spending time cooking for family and friends.
