A Storyteller at heart!

When I was deciding what I would do when I grew up, I fancied myself as an actor, So drama club, college and conservatory in New York city eventually had me land in Los Angeles to pursue fame and fortune. I had a great time but alas stardom wasn't in my cards.

When I had to get a "real" job, I wondered what I would do? I was very comfortable in front of an audience, knew how to tell a good story and was a keen listener, I ended up in training, and have spent almost two decades teaching, coaching and elevating Sales Professionals, specifically in the Luxury sector.

I have founded my own business, Slaney Consulting.

I've also worked with and for LVMH, Ferrari, Porsche and brands in different Luxury segments such as L'Occitane, Tourneau/Bucherer, Bulgari and TAG Heuer.

I would be remiss to not mention that I'm from Ireland originally (accent still intact though muted a bit), and I attribute my storytelling prowess to my heritage. We do have the gift of the gab after all.

Brand Architect.

Brand Building encompasses “the activities associated with establishing and promoting a brand”. It’s the marketing of the brand, utilizing various avenues such as social networks and media.

However, there is a key element missing; People!

A Brand Architect designs revenue generating training programs for new brands and also can augment and invigorate an existing brand.

They partner with a new brand by ensuring the teams are being developed on topics such as engaging clients, leveraging storytelling, and delivering intriguing client journeys.

They also understand when a brand needs a new approach to the experience they are offering to their clients and the augmentation of the skills of their people.

I was introduced to that phrase early in my training career and it is a concept that I see all too often not grasped nor executed strategically and effectively, in all levels of an organization but especially in the field.

I’ve spent almost 2 decades in various Luxury industries, from beauty to accessories, Prêt-à-Porter, automotive, watches and jewelry. I have had the opportunity to analyze performances, create programs and strategies, deploy and deliver interactive and engaging facilitation and elevate an organizations' approach to branding and communication.

I’m guided by this paradigm:

·        Expect effective effort.

·        Provide constructive feedback.

My company, Slaney Consulting, is built on these ideas, and we strive to provide bespoke offerings, partnering with our clients and brands to provide a results-driven journey, from the boutique to managers and coaches, and right into the corporate environment.
