John Michael Weber

I was born on May 14, 1958 in Texas City, Texas and on that day, the world was changed forever. Fear not, my arrogance is not rearing its ugly head by any means, for I believe, that on the day each of you were born, the world was changed and never to be the same again.

I am going to take you on a journey through a bad neighborhood; my mind. It is not a place you want to travel alone, so bring a friend. I will do my best to lighten the load with funny stories from my life as a drunk and drug addict (of which there are many). Then I hope to take you all the way through to the other side where we will leave the darkness (and it gets really dark) and enter the light. So, let’s get started on this journey, shall we?

I was delivered from thirty years of addiction to drugs and alcohol, the last ten on heroin, on November 19, 2001. Since then I have written six books on addiction, achieved a BS In Psychology/Addictions, an MA in Addictions Counseling and am licensed in the state of Texas to counsel addicts.

I spent 7 years as a youth pastor and 10 in working in the addictions field. Between my experience and education I consider myself an expert in the field. I help addicts but also the families of addicts as the navigate the stormy waters of addiction.
