I am a retired family physician and addiction medicine practitioner who treated heroin addicts for over 10 years! I was medical director of a drug and alcohol treatment center and Clinical Associate Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Rochester.

I have recently written a short booklet for students, parents, and teachers explaining opioids, and why they are so addictive and dangerous. I offer one or two hour lectures explaining opioids and how we can protect ourselves, families and friends from this risk!
