Joanna Barclay is an award winning leadership consultant, professional facilitator, and published author on leading change, building high performing workplace cultures, and values-based leadership.

For the past four decades Joanna has worked with leadership teams and organizations facilitating change projects. This is what inspired Joanna to write the book, CONSCIOUS CULTURE – How to Build a High Performing Workplace through Values, Ethics and Leadership. In the book, Joanna delivers a powerful framework, tools and techniques used by successful leaders who were implementing business transformation.

Following a sense of adventure and wanting to make a difference, Joanna moved to Singapore in 2014 and worked for five years with leadership teams across Asia, helping leaders transform their workplace culture.

Joanna is passionate about sharing with leaders a values-driven approach for leading change. This approach provides a deeper understanding of the human dynamics and organizational forces which lead to greater employee engagement, stronger commitment and higher performance.

In the workplace today are 4 generations with different sets of values and ways of working which is causing a lot of conflict. A values-driven approach to leading change is required to give leaders a better understanding of what motivates and energizes the change process. Now, more than ever before we need to reach out and reconnect with each other. The most successful leaders are able to help their teams get connected, and create a team spirit and culture, which supports them in reaching their goals.

This keynote is for organizations and leaders who are going through change. Joanna shares her ABC Framework for Cultural Transformation, one of the most challenging forms of change management. This framework empowers leaders and managers with a values-driven approach to lead change successfully.

Remember, if you don’t have a conscious culture, you have a default, unconscious culture.

Conscious leadership through values by promoting a “share of heart” creates an emotional connection with employees. This connection leads to a pattern of happy, fulfilled, creative, inspired employees who are less stressed, more productive, better at problem solving, and provide a higher quality client experience. There is a direct co-relation between a healthy workplace culture and one that is led by a conscious leader.

Leaders in these organizations are comfortable using terms of endearment such as love, joy, authenticity, empathy, and compassion around the board room table. They invest in transforming their organization by building a culture of “heart” to attain phenomenal performance and consider it to be one of the most valuable corporate assets. Why? Because loyalty is rooted in emotion, not reason.
